Having worked in different organisations and leading teams for over a decade, I have realised that an effective leader can build such dream teams if they consider the following vital factors while building and expanding teams.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Team Members<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your <\/span><b>team members are crucial<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the team\u2019s success. You must take utmost care to choose who you want in your team. A <\/span><b>great team player<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can bring tremendous positive energy and influence the other team members significantly. Curate hiring processes, which not only <\/span><b>evaluate the technical skills of a candidate but also check their fitment in the team and culture.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Team Structure<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prepare a blueprint for your team &#8211; the different levels and designations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Setting a team structure helps set the <\/span><b>expectations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> when hiring new team members.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A team structure provides<\/span><b> clarity in terms of band, designation and the compensation structure <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the team members.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The team members can see a <\/span><b>clear career path<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keep your team structure<\/span><b> up-to-date as the business needs change<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. A company may see changes such as:<br \/>\na) A critical project that requires additional resources temporarily where you may want to hire Contractors.<\/span><br \/>\nb)\u00a0 Team <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">expansion due to an increase in work, the launch of new products or development to newer geographies where you need more team members to manage work.<br \/>\nc)\u00a0 Team realignment due to a sudden dip in work or due to budgetary and business needs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work Allocation<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your Team Leads and Managers should allocate work so that <\/span><b>work is fairly distributed <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">among team members based on their <\/span><b>skills<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>expertise<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> levels.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add some variety in work that helps the team members to explore and learn new skills.
