Basic salary<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-speechify-sentence=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sum paid to an employee that does not include bonuses, benefits, perks, and incentives.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>2. HRA or House Rent Allowance<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-speechify-sentence=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The sum is paid towards covering the housing expenses of an employee.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>3. Provident fund contribution<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-speechify-sentence=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The employee\u2019s share of the salary towards the Employment Provident Fund. It is 12% of the fixed components of the employees\u2019 salary.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>4. Special allowance<\/b><\/h3>\n<p data-speechify-sentence=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This component of the salary includes additional allowances offered by the company. This may include transport, conveyance, and outstation allowance, among others.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>5. In most cases, these are monetary components. However, there could be non-monetary components also &#8211; paid as perquisites to employees in some companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>7. Bonus<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-speechify-sentence=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An employee may receive an additional sum as a bonus in a year.
