Several measures are being taken by all countries to control the impact of the pandemic on businesses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Indian government has announced relief in GST compliance to relax regulatory distress among the businesses registered in India under <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/razorpay.com\/learn\/gst-goods-and-services-tax\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GST<\/a> amid COVID-19 pandemic<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The announcement was made through various notifications released by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). The major announcements included the due date extension of filing <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/razorpay.com\/learn\/online-gst-returns-for-your-startup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GST returns<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for taxpayers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here\u2019s a list of extensions made to the due dates of filing GST returns amid <a href=\"https:\/\/razorpay.com\/learn\/accept-donations-without-website\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">COVID-19<\/a> outbreak:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Form GSTR-3B<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a. In addition to such return, regular late fees will also be charged to the taxpayers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">d. For the taxpayers filing quarterly GSTR-1, the due date for the quarter ended on the 31st March 2020 has also been extended to the 30th June of 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Returns under composition scheme<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GSTR-4 for the FY 2019-20 has been extended to the 15th of July 2020 from the 30th of April 2020. Also, the due date of CMP-08 for January to March\u20192020 quarter has also been extended to 15th of July 2020 from the 30th of April 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moreover, all <a href=\"https:\/\/razorpay.com\/learn\/gst-composition-scheme-benefits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">composition taxpayers<\/a> were required to file form CMP-02 for the FY 2020-21 to opt for the scheme by the 31st of March 2020. This date has also been extended to the 30th of June 2020. Similarly, form ITC-03 can now be filed by the 31st of July 2020 for the period FY 2019-20.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Validity of e-way bills<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">E-Way bills, whose expiry dates were between the 20th of March 2020 to 15th of April 2020, will now be valid till the 30th of April 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lastly, all other GST compliance due dates falling between the 20th of March 2020 and 29th of June 2020 are now extended till the 30th of June 2020.
